Throughout the summer François and Grégory Chabanian disentangle the Babel of contemporary art in order to isolate the quintessence of today’s art output. From internationaly acclaimed masters like Damien HIRST to emerging artists, the resulting body of work is already making waves at the major art fairs and is well ahead of the rest in the salesrooms.
The first shock is Klibansky. His neo–urban “Wonderland” unleashes an invigorating intellectual voyage of exploration. At twenty-eight years old this young Dutch prodigy is already the sensation of the most important fairs: Art Basel, Art Miami, and Art Paris have recognised his talent. His large scale works owe as much to photography as to painting: Klibansky manipulates the graphic palette much as the painter manipulates his palette of paints. The magic of the fusion of hundreds of superimposed digital images works via the great diversity of pictorial techniques employed by the artist, who enhances his stunning compositions directly by hand.
